PRAYERS BEFORE COMMUNION

Act of Faith
O God, because you said it, I believe that I shall receive the Body of Jesus to eat, and the Blood of Jesus to drink.
I believe this with all my heart.
O God, Father of Mercy, with your sanctifying Spirit you have illumined Blessed Mary of Jesus and have made of her in this world an untiring promoter of authentic participation of the faithful in the celebration of the Eucharist. It is now that we ask you to grant through her intercession the union of our own sacrifice with the unique sacrifice of Christ in order to participate in full awareness, devoutly and actively in the liturgy of the Holy Mass. Grant us also through the intercession of Mary, mother of Jesus the particular grace for which we ask you in faith and love. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen.

PREPARATION FOR HOLY COMMUNION

O Lord, Jesus Christ, King of everlasting glory, behold I desire to come to you this day, and to receive your Body and Blood in this heavenly Sacrament, for your honour and glory, and the good of my soul. I desire to receive you,
because it is your desire, and you have so willed it: blessed be your Name forever. I desire to come to you like
Magdalene, that I may be delivered from all my evils, and embrace you, my only Good. I desire to come to you, that I may be happily united to you, that I may henceforth abide in you, and you in me; and that nothing in life or death may ever separate me from you.
Amen.

PRAYER AFTER RECEIVING HOLY COMMUNION

My Jesus, I love and adore you. You have come to me; I am one with You. I want You to remain with me forever, in this life and in the next. Thank you for allowing me to share Your divine life. May I become more like You through this sacred Food. Let me never take You for granted, but always pray for those whose lives are dark with sin and ignorance and selfishness. Let me remember the words of Saint Paul, that

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING AFTER HOLY COMMUNION

My good Jesus, I pray to you to bless me; keep me in your love; grant me the grace of final perseverance. Help me to become a Saint. Safeguarded by you in soul and in body, may I never swerve from the right road, but surely reach your kingdom, where, not in dim mysteries, as in the dark world of ours, but face to face we shall look upon you. There will you satisfy me with yourself and fill me with such sweetness that I shall neither hunger or thirst forevermore: who with God the Father and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns world without end.
Amen.

Prayers of The Rosary

During the months of October and May we remember Mary, the Mother of Jesus. We are encouraged to say the Rosary every day throughout these months in order to remember the life of Mary and her answer to God’s call. Through the Rosary we are saying ‘thank you’ to Mary for the precious gift that she gave to us  – her son

Jesus Christ.

Throughout October and May you are

invited to say a decade of the Rosary every BREAK TIME in the CHAPEL.

Below is how we pray a decade of the Rosary: Sign of the Cross (to begin)

Our Father

Hail Mary (say this prayer 10 times)

Glory Be

Sign of the Cross (to end)

Prayer after the Rosary

Lord, help each of us to live the fullness of life by following your call. Send your Holy Spirit to guide those who are making life choices. We pray especially for those who are called to serve you in the priesthood or consecrated life; may they be supported in their vocations and truly be a sign of your love in the world.
Amen.

I CONFESS

I confess to almighty God,
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have sinned through my own fault
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done
and in what I have failed to do;
and I ask blessed Mary, every virgin,
all the angels and saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray to me to the Lord our God.

THE GLORIA

Glory to God in the highest,
and peace to his people on earth.
Lord God, heavenly King,
Almighty God and Father.
We worship you, we give you thanks, we praise you for your glory.
Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father,
Lord God, Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world: have mercy on us.
You are seated at the right hand of the Father,
receive our prayer.
For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord,
you alone are the Most High Jesus Christ,
with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of
God the Father.
Amen.
