On Thursday 14th November, Year 8 experienced life in the Victorian Era by visiting the Black Country Living Museum. Bringing their studies in English and History to life, pupils took part in an action packed day where they learnt about the Industrial Revolution and Victorian living. Pupils experienced life in the mines on an interactive tour, a Victorian school lesson with a very strict Victorian school master, as well as a guided tour of different shops, living quarters and workplaces of people who lived in the Midlands during the Industrial Revolution and beyond. Pupils were also lucky enough to sample some traditionally made fish & chip and ‘old fashioned’ sweets.
