Facilities

Bishop Walsh is a school at the heart of the community in Sutton Coldfield. As such we are keen to offer our resources to hire for local groups. We currently host numerous organisations from performing arts groups to sports clubs. Our various clubs and classes are available to everyone.

Performing Arts Areas

Theatre

240 seat theatre, fully equipped with sound and lighting. Available to hire most evenings and weekends

Drama Studio

Drama studio can be used with lighting rig if requested. Ideal for medium sized Drama class

Dance Studio

Dance studio with mirrored wall and Ballet Barres. Ideal for Dance or Fitness classes

Sports Facilities

Bishop Walsh Catholic School prides itself on the enormous amount of community work we participate in. Offering all our facilities for group hire or offering various organised sporting opportunities.

Sports Hall

A multi-purpose sports area. It can be used for a host of sporting activities including five a side football, basketball, or badminton to name but three examples.

Outdoor Pitch with Flood Lights

A multipurpose sports area which can be used for football, tennis or hockey. The surface is tiger turf. The full size of the Astro is 51m x 36 metres. So if you pull the curtain across the middle it would be 25m x 36m each pitch.

The Gymnasium

A facility perfect for both football and basketball.

Classrooms

Bishop Walsh Catholic School comprises of over thirty classrooms with space for 33 pupils. Each classroom has a computer and access to a projector.

Culinary Classroom

Our culinary arts classroom has seven ovens and hobs along with a number of microwaves and other food preparation equipment.

Learning Resource Centre

A room which includes a spacious seating area and access to thirty computers. It is a very good venue for a meetings.
